   Charoite is a variety of rare silicate mineral from altered limestone deposits that can contain potassium, sodium, calcium, barium, strontium, oxygen, silicon and hydrogen. The stone is named after the Chara River Charoite ranges from soft lavender to deep, rich purple in color with a fancy-free luster. The stone has natural fractures within that create the unusual swirl patterns within.
